TEACHING PRACTICE
My lovely readers.. After I finish making teaching plan, now..... It's time to me teaching practice..... Oh My God........ I was very nervous at the time.. :'D So on the night before teaching, I practice very hard.. π And always say to myself, I CAN DO IT!!!!!! I am teaching practice on 27th September to 28th September 2019.
I teach Mathematics for all grade six. The lesson that I teach is Rounding off Decimals. In one day, I have five classes. It's really makes my voice hoarse... :'D Of course tiring, but you know friends.. It is very very fun.. Because the students are very excited because I became their teacher at the moment.. Hohoho.. :D
This is my teaching schedule
A. Procedure of Teaching
In one class, I have 50 minutes. My procedure for teaching in all classes is like in a teaching plan.
❋Greetings and Prayer
Before learning students always sang spiritual songs first. After that, they pray together led by one of the student. And then, they say greetings to teacher like that, "Good morning,teacher...." I really like when students say "teacher" during greetings. Because I think the tone is cute.. ππ :) :)
❋Learning Activities
Before I explain learning, I give drill and reviews about past learning to students. As, "What is the place value of digit 8 in the following numbers 123.489?". And, if one student can answer the question, I give them candy. This makes the students excited in answering each of my questions.. :D :D :Dπ
❋Lesson Proper
First, I explained the lesson. After that, I gave several examples. Then, I play a learning video so students can better understand learning.
After that, I give questions to students. These questions will be answered by students by writings answers on the board, which we then examine together. And when students get perfect score, I give them candy. π❤π ;) ;)
(The questions I gave to students)
(Explain learning to students)
(Students watch learning videos)
(Students write answers on the board)
(We check answers together)
(He got a perfect score,so he gets candy)
On the last day of teaching, I give learning by giving game to students. So we learn while playing.. Yeyyy.. :D The students are very excited and also me.. Hahahha :D :D :D
Before playing the game, I divided students into 3 groups. The name of the game is the math tournament. The game consist of questions that I will read to students. If the student answers are correct, I will give 10 points to the group, and the wrong answer will be deducted 5 points from the group. And of course, if the student group wins, I will give them candy. The students were very happy when they heard the word candy. hahaha ππ :D :D :D
(The winners)
B. Time Management and Organizing Activity
❋Greetings and Prayer
Song,pray and greeting ± 5 minutes
❋Learning Activities
Drill and revies ± 10 minutes
❋ Lesson Proper
● First day teach = Teach, watch the video and practice ± 35 minutes
● Second day / last day teach = Playing Tournament Math games ±35 minutes
C. Problem-Solving
Problem
When I teach I find some problems that come from students and myself.
- Students don't understand what I'm saying.
- Students do not understand the instructions I give when playing tournament math games.
- I find it hard to see who the students who raise their hands first.
Solving
The solution that I did to the problem above.
- I speak slowly so students can understand.
- I again explained the game's instructions until the students understood.
- I memorize questions that I will give to students and still look at students. I do that so I can find out which students can answer the questions first.
